Hello from beautiful North Carolina! We're Drew and Heather, and we're so grateful for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption. Even before knowing you, we have been praying for you. Our path to adoption has been shaped by 4 years of infertility and the loss of a miscarriage. Drew works as an IT Analyst at a local state college, and Heather is a Special Education teacher at a Christian school. We live a simple life, with both families nearby. We enjoy time together with friends and family. We are truly thankful for this opportunity and would love to build a relationship with you if that is your desire. Our promise is to provide a safe, nurturing, and loving home where a child can grow and explore their interests -- always knowing they are loved.

About Us

We met online and later discovered that we had both attended the same college. From the very beginning, we connected over shared values, goals, and a similar outlook on life. We enjoy the simple rhythms of everyday life -- walking our dog and playing games with friends. One of our favorite traditions is an annual beach vacation with Heather's parents and grandparents where we relax and spend time together.

Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts but after walking 4 years of infertility and experiencing a miscarriage, we began to feel strongly led to adoption. We are very excited about all that comes with welcoming a child into our family. We look forward to quiet evenings at home, walks through the neighborhood, and bedtime snuggles and prayers.

About Drew

What I love most about Drew is his calm presence, especially during stressful seasons. Throughout our journey with infertility, he has been a steady rock, bringing peace and reassurance in some of our hardest moments. I often joke that he's a "walking encyclopedia" because of how much he knows, and he approaches decisions with thoughtfulness and a clear, steady perspective.

Drew is hardworking, laid-back, and full of humor, always ready with a good "dad joke." He works as an IT Analyst at a local state college and enjoys learning new things. In his free time, he loves board games, walks with our dog, and spending time with friends. Drew is so excited to be a dad and looks forward to simple moments -- playing outside, building Legos, watching Bluey, and encouraging our child to grow and be themselves.

About Heather

Heather has a natural gift for creating a warm, welcoming home—a place where we truly enjoy being together. She is deeply devoted to her family and friends and is always a steady source of support in every season of life. She has a beautiful mix of sweetness and spunk that brings both comfort and fun into our relationship.

Heather is a Special Education teacher at a private school where she is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs. She finds great purpose in the impact she has on her students and their families. In her free time, she enjoys board games, walks with family, watching movies, and serving in our church’s nursery. Heather is so excited to become a mom and looks forward to making memories, going on family trips, playdates at the park, and supporting a child as they grow and learn.

Our Family

Family is at the heart of our lives, and we are grateful to have both of our families close by. Drew's parents and sister live nearby, and we spend time together regularly celebrating holidays, birthdays, and everyday moments. Heather's family also lives within 30 minutes, and we gather often for meals, celebrations, and time together. Their love and support have been constant, especially as we pursue adoption.

Although adoption is new to our families, they have embraced this journey with excitement, prayer, and encouragement. We look forward to sharing special traditions like our annual family beach trip and celebrating birthdays together with our child. As our child grows, they will be surrounded by a large, loving family who will cheer them on and support them in every stage of life.

Our Home in North Carolina

Our home in North Carolina is nestled between the mountains and the beach, giving us easy access to both. We live in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood where neighbors are often outside walking, playing, and spending time together. Our two-story craftsman home has 3 bedrooms and an open downstairs layout, allowing us to stay connected throughout the day. All bedrooms are upstairs, keeping us close to the nursery.

We’ve begun preparing the nursery, making it a special space with help from Heather’s dad who owns a family cabinetry business. Our neighborhood has several small parks with playgrounds, as well as a community pool we enjoy in the summer, including a shallow area for little ones. We love the strong sense of community and truly feel it’s a wonderful place to raise a child.

Our Promise

Our promise to you is simple: your baby will be deeply loved—more than we could ever fully express. We will nurture who they are, encouraging them to grow, discover their interests, and become the person they’re meant to be. We would also love to learn about you—your hopes, passions, and what matters most to you—and, if you’re comfortable, share those pieces of you with your child.

Becoming parents is something we have long hoped and prayed for, and we hold this opportunity with great care and gratitude. Your baby will be surrounded by love—not only from us, but from a wide circle of family and friends who have been praying for them. We are open to a relationship with you in whatever way feels right to you, at your own pace. Our hope is that you always feel respected, heard, and cared for by us.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Family Traditions

- Annual Beach Trip: We take a special trip each year with Heather’s parents and grandparents, enjoying time to relax and be together.
- Christmas Traditions: We spend Christmas with family, starting with a big breakfast and ending the day with a meaningful dinner together.
- Birthday Celebrations: Each person gets to choose their favorite restaurant, and we all come together to celebrate them.

A Typical Weekend for Us

A typical weekend for us is a balance of connection, productivity, and rest. We usually set aside one evening just for the two of us, which often turns into meaningful time together. The other night is spent with friends or family—sometimes both. We also use part of the weekend to take care of things around the house like yard work, laundry, and groceries, but we try to keep a relaxed pace and enjoy the break from the workweek.
Sundays are especially meaningful to us. We start the morning at church, followed by lunch, and spend the afternoon relaxing—often watching a show or movie together. In the evening, we take time to check in with each other, reflecting on the past week, sharing highs and lows, and talking through the week ahead. It’s a rhythm that helps us stay connected and intentional.

Our Dog

We have one dog named Mason, whom we rescued from our local animal shelter. While we were told he is a Labrador Retriever, he's more of a medium size than a typical large Lab. Mason loves going on walks around our neighborhood and is always part of our annual family beach trip - where he happily chases the waves and tries to "catch" them as they roll in.
He has a sweet, affectionate personality and often thinks he's a lap dog, always ready to snuggle. Mason also has a favorite toy - a little plastic carrot - that is he completely obsessed with and faithfully carries to bed with him every night. He brings so much joy and laughter to our home and can't wait to have a little friend to play with!

Plans for Child's Education

With Heather working at a Christian school, our child would have the opportunity to attend with free tuition. This also allows Heather to take our child to and from school each day, be nearby if any need arises, and share the same daily schedule and school breaks together. Heather attended this school growing up and, after graduating college, returned to teach in the Special Education program, where she has been for eight years.
We both love the supportive, close-knit environment the school provides. Another positive is the smaller class sizes, allowing students—including our child—to receive more individual attention and support when needed. The school offers strong academics while also encouraging students to explore their interests, including opportunities to participate in sports and other activities as they grow.

In Closing

We are so excited for the opportunity to become parents and share our lives with a child. They will be deeply loved and supported as they grow, with every opportunity we can provide to help them thrive. Your child will be surrounded not only by our love, but also by a strong, caring community of family and friends who will support them every step of the way. If you feel comfortable, we are open to ongoing communication in whatever way feels right to you, always honoring your wishes and timing.
