https://vimeo.com/1159834841Hello from Ohio's countryside! We have been married for over 5 years and look forward to making many more memories together, including raising a family. Adoption is something we feel called to and we look forward to sharing life's many moments, big and small, with our child as they grow up.
About Us
After a year of dating & engagement, we got married in 2020.
As we've waited for our family to grow, we have spent lots of time together doing the things we love. We have traveled out West for a month in our tiny camper, went on lots of hikes, watched lots of movies, and played table games and pickleball with our friends. We also enjoy walking our dogs, spending evenings chatting with family, developing meaningful friendships within our church small group, and all life's little things in between.
We always wanted adoption to be a part of our story and are thankful to be on this journey. We are so excited to add a child to our lives!
About Hailey (written by Brennan)
I am so thankful that I met Hailey and get to spend the rest of my life with her. She has a way of bringing joy into any room that she walks into, which starts with her smile and her laugh. The best attribute that I would use to describe Hailey is that she is so caring for those in her life. There have been countless times that she puts others before herself, whether it is a big or small situation. She is always thinking of others by remembering important dates, baking or cooking them things, or sending encouraging notes/texts. And did I mention that she is funny? Her jokes come out of nowhere, and they keep me laughing!
She has been longing to be a mom for quite some time, and I know she is going to be one of the best. I cannot wait to watch her care for our kids and shape them as they grow up!
Some of Hailey's interests include:
- Baking - therapy for her
- Hiking and vacationing in new places
- Animals - raising puppies, gathering eggs, riding horses
- Playing games of any kind
- Being outside in the sun relaxing, reading a book
- Children's ministry & Bible studies with friends
- Being active - jogging, pickleball, yoga, walking our dogs
- Learning about plants & wildlife
- Dreams of having a mini farm!
About Brennan (written by Hailey)
I have never met someone more consistent than my husband. I like to describe Brennan as a steady train that cuts through the mountains and valleys unwavering. He is a "say less do more" kind of guy and is very down to earth. I appreciate that he is always himself, speaks with intention, and doesn't get worked up easily. He takes care of the people he loves, even if it's inconvenient - shoveling our sidewalk before work, picking up his niece from school, staying up until one in the morning to work through tough conversations. If you need him, he will be there.
I am confident he will raise any children we are blessed with to know God, to try their absolute best, and to be a leader, because he is a reflection of those things himself. It will be one of my greatest joys to see Brennan become a dad!
Some of Brennan's interests include:
- Working with his hands - woodworking, home projects, renovating (he recently completed an airstream reno!)
- A challenging hike
- Being competitive - pickleball, card games, or simply finding more puzzle pieces that fit
- Playing guitar & leading worship
- Adrenaline rushes - skydiving, snowboarding, jumping into ice cold mountain lakes
- Running sound for a community worship organization he is a part of
- Hanging out around a campfire
- Going to Cleveland Browns & Guardians games
- Biweekly breakfasts with his friends
Family Life
Family has always been a big priority for us. Thankfully, most of our immediate family lives close by, meaning we get to see them often. We both have an older sister & younger brother, all of which are married except for Hailey's sister who is a missionary in a third world country. While we don't have any kids of our own, we do have two nieces and a nephew, and it's been so fun being a part of their childhood. Our parents have each been happily married for over 30 years.
Our families are beyond excited to watch our family grow and we have no doubt we will be supported when we bring our little one home. We are looking forward to our child experiencing all the family adventures and meaningful traditions we've grown up with: summer lake days, weekend dinners, loud game nights, evenings around the fire, beach vacations, and time spent enjoying each other's company. These are the moments that have shaped us, and we're excited to see our child experience them too.
Our Home in Ohio
We live in the country near a small town in Ohio. We live at the end of a long drive, where we have a large, private backyard that we love! We own about 4 acres of land and live right next to a public wildlife area, so there's plenty of room to hike and walk with our dogs. There is a small creek that separates our yard from our neighbors. Our house was remodeled in 2019, and we have been living here for 5 years. It is a single-level, open concept house with a large back deck. We have a couple of extra bedrooms that we hope to fill with kids! Next to the house, our neighbor makes hay in our field.
Our Promise
Should you choose us, we look forward to honoring you and your decision by filling our home with as much love and joy as we can. Your child will be raised in a safe home and provided for in every way possible. By following Jesus and loving each other well, we hope to teach your child what's important and be a healthy example of how to live. Parents never get it 100% right, but we will never stop trying to improve and be the best versions of ourselves.
We promise that you will not be forgotten and that we will speak to and about you with respect. We want our child to know their story and want to celebrate their background as an important part of who they are as we raise them. We hope to share an open adoption if you're comfortable staying in touch in some way. We'd love to learn more about you, what you picture for ongoing contact, and to answer any questions.

More About Our Family
Plans for Childcare
We deeply value the importance of being present and attentive parents, and we are intentionally planning our work schedules to support that when our baby arrives. Hailey will take leave when we are placed and then return to work part-time. She plans to work two days in the office and one day from home. On one of her in-office days, Brennan will be home with our child, and on the other day, our baby will be cared for by one of their grandmothers. We are incredibly grateful to have capable, loving mothers who are excited and honored to help care for our child.
As our family grows, Hailey hopes to become a stay-at-home mom, returning to work only as needed when our child(ren) are school age. She is blessed with a flexible job that allows her to adjust her schedule to best meet the needs of our family.
Our Community
- Close-knit rural community where families know and support each other
- Safe, quiet environment with plenty of space to play and explore
- Part of a supportive local school system with smaller class sizes
- Close to large towns/cities, offering access to parks, museums, healthcare, and additional educational resources
- A community that values family, hard work, and kindness
Our Pets
Due to Hailey's love for animals, we always knew our home would have an open door for pets. We currently have two dogs -- Kona the Bernese Mountain dog, and Eller the Golden Retriever. Though we don't view animals as children, we can appreciate the patience and responsibility we've learned by caring for and training our dogs -- that and all the dramatic yawns, energetic walks and love we get from them.
Kona and Eller are so good with children and we are excited to teach our child the joy, compassion, and responsibility that comes with growing up alongside animals of all kinds.
Adoption in Our Circle
We have both grown up with adoption and foster care woven into our lives. Hailey’s cousins adopted siblings and help lead a local adoption support organization. The founders of this organization attend our church and have offered us tremendous wisdom, encouragement, and comfort as we have navigated both infertility and the path toward adoption.
We are also blessed to have friends who recently adopted through Lifetime, and we have learned so much hearing both them and other couples within our church community share their adoption stories. Over the years, we have attended several adoption banquets and listened to speakers who have personally walked this journey. Growing up surrounded by these experiences has shown us that adoption is deeply rooted in love, faith, and sacrifice. We are so thankful for this opportunity!
In Closing
We believe adoption is a reflection of God's sacrificial love and adoption of us into His family. So much prayer has gone into this decision and we feel peace and excitement starting this journey! We pray you would feel confident in whatever family you choose, and that you would be honored for the decision you're making. We would love to have an open adoption, giving you updates though texts, pictures, annual visits, or in whatever way you would feel most comfortable. Thanks for taking the time to consider us!
