Hello from Ohio!

I have been pondering and praying about adoption since I was six years old and am excited about building my family this way. I gained confidence that I have the capability to successfully parent a child as a single mother after fostering an infant. While that child was reunited with their biological family, my desire to become a parent through adoption was strengthened.

I am eager to see what lies ahead for my child as they grow and learn. I will help identify opportunities for them to express themselves and discover their talents and abilities in a supportive environment.

About Me

I've assumed the role of mother or nurturer in many different situations throughout my life. Whether it is my role as an aunt, Godmother, babysitter or respite caregiver, I've been blessed to gain experience with children of all ages. Most recently, I have had the honor of serving as a licensed foster parent to a five-week-old through their first year of life. Though the family was reunited, I was given the opportunity to build parenting skills and a network of resources that have benefitted that child and their biological family. It was that experience that gave me the confidence to pursue single parent adoption.

My Home in Ohio

I live in a spacious townhome on a tree lined street that is within walking distance to multiple metro parks, schools, stores, and medical facilities. My backyard is large enough to host cookouts, play basketball, and grow vegetables. Our neighborhood is diverse in every way imaginable and quite friendly. There is a farmer's market each weekend near my home, and craft shows throughout the year.

Family Life

Because we now live in the same state, my immediate family and I spend a lot of time together attending events, cooking, traveling, helping each other with projects, and supporting each other's endeavors. Since we have family members that have been adopted, they are truly excited about welcoming another child through adoption (Babysitters are on board!).

I work from home half of the week enabling me the flexibility to spend time with my future child. My mother is retired and thrilled about the possibility of spending time with her new grandchild.

My Lifestyle, Work, & Traditions/Values

The Bible teaches that "to whom much is given, much is required," (Luke 12:48) and I rejoice at being able to give. My work has always been centered on giving. Currently, I am a manager at a non-profit organization. It is my belief that we are to use what we have to leave a lasting impact on the community around us. One way that I choose to do that is to help individuals and families find housing and healthcare resources. Having stable housing allows people to focus on their health, and being healthy allows them to be able to build the life they desire and pursue their dreams. I love helping people!

My Promise

I promise to take excellent care of your child. I am committed to honor you and your wishes for your child's future. I promise to be honest with your child about how we came together through adoption and always speak about you with love. I welcome the chance to stay in contact with photos or video updates, and possibly yearly visits, to the extent you are comfortable.

Though your child would be my first child, they would be surrounded by cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and a community that would help give them a good foundation and provide tremendous support to our small family.

My love and prayers will always be with you!

I'd love to connect and answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About My Family

My Community

Volunteerism is vital to me. Whether it is giving, providing resources, building a house, cooking a meal, praying with someone, or visiting patients in a hospital, I believe that we have to be there for each other. Each person can bless another, and it helps broaden my perspective, connect me with new people, and remind me that I have something to share with the world.

My Faith

My faith guides my daily life. I attend church weekly, participate in Bible Study groups, and am involved in ministry at my church. I look forward to sharing that faith with my child so that they know they have a source of strength, power, and joy in what can be a difficult world.

When I Was Little I Wanted To Be...

All of the things! I wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, author, news anchor, radio personality, and artist! My parents and community provided strong support that gave me the confidence to pursue all of the things. I want to provide that type of foundation for my child!

In Closing

I hope to provide a safe, loving and stable home for a child. I pray that as you make your decision, you know that you are loved. The strength you are demonstrating is admirable. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
