Hi! We are Guido and Heidi, thank you so much for taking a minute to get to know us.

We have built a life together that we really love, and we are ready to share it with a child. Guido works in the fire service and genuinely loves what he does, helping people and being there when it matters most. Heidi works in physical therapy and gets to walk alongside people as they heal. Taking care of others has always been a big part of who we are.

At home, life is pretty simple in the best way. We love being outside, spending time with family, and hanging out with our dog, Paisley. We are the kind of people who enjoy both a quiet night at home and saying “yes” to a last-minute plan or trip.

When we think about becoming parents, we picture a home that feels safe, steady, and full of love. Heidi is really looking forward to being home during those early years, being present for the little things, the big milestones, and everything in between.

We want to raise a child who knows who they are, feels confident and loved, and grows up understanding their story. We will always speak about you with respect and gratitude, and make sure your child knows how much they are loved.

Thank you for considering us, it truly means a lot. We would feel honored to be part of your story in whatever way feels right to you.

About Us

We both went to the same high school and actually first met on a mission trip when we were just teenagers! Years later, we ran into each other again at church, started talking, and things just clicked. Not long after that we were dating, and we have been married since 2016.

Life together has been really good. Our dog Paisley is a big part of our everyday life and keeps things fun. We are easygoing people—we like being outside, spending time with family and friends, and just enjoying the normal day-to-day stuff. Some of our favorite moments are the simple ones—hanging out at home, last-minute plans, or getting away for a weekend when we can. We enjoy traveling and trying new things, and we are really looking forward to sharing that with a child.

We are both working right now, but once we adopt, Heidi is planning to stay home for a while. That time together feels really important to us, especially in the early years.

Our faith is a big part of who we are. Being part of our church has given us a strong sense of community, and we are surrounded by people who support us and are excited for us as we grow our family. We want our child to grow up knowing they are loved, feeling secure in who they are, and learning how to treat others with kindness and respect.

Adoption is something we have talked about for a long time, and over the years it has become clearer that this is how we are meant to grow our family. We have prayed for you since day one of this process.

My Husband, Guido

According to Heidi: One of the things I noticed early on when we were dating was how important family was to Guido. He has always talked about wanting to be a husband and a dad, and that has never changed.

Guido is a really steady, dependable person—the kind of guy you can count on no matter what. He works hard, takes care of things without being asked, and is always thinking about how to provide and support the people he loves. I am so grateful for the way he shows up in our life, whether that is handling things around the house, managing our finances, or just being someone I can lean on.

He is also very close with his family and has a lot of great memories from growing up, which is something I know he wants to create again with our child.

Guido is low-key and values meaningful connection, which I love. He enjoys both the simple things and having an adventure. He loves relaxing at home, getting outside, and staying active. He is really into sports and loves to fish, golf, and paddle board.

More than anything, he is kind, loyal, and genuine. I have seen how he cares for the people in his life, and I truly cannot wait to watch him become a dad and build that same kind of love and stability with our child.

My Wife, Heidi

According to Guido: Heidi is one of the most loving people I have ever met. One of the first things I noticed about her was how much she cares about others and how naturally she makes people feel included and comfortable. That is just who she is.

She is incredibly driven and disciplined—she worked hard to earn her doctorate and now works as a physical therapist, helping people get back on their feet and feel like themselves again. But beyond all of that, what stands out most to me is her heart for family. She has always talked about wanting to be a mom, and I know that is where she will shine the most. I fully support and encourage her desire to stay home for a season, and I can already picture how present and intentional she will be with our kids.

She is very outgoing and brings a lot of energy into whatever she’s doing, whether that is hosting people in our home or spending time with family. She is an amazing aunt, and our family feels how genuine her love is.

Heidi loves being active outside—snowboarding and paddle boarding at the lake is one of her favorites, and I know she is really looking forward to sharing those things with our child.

More than anything, she has a gentle heart, a positive spirit, and a way of making people feel seen and cared for. I feel really lucky to do life with her, and I cannot wait to see her as a mom.

Our Family

Family is a really big part of our lives, and something we are so excited to share with our child.

Between the two of us, we have a really strong and supportive group of family nearby. Guido comes from a bigger family—he is one of four siblings—and most of them live within driving distance, so there’s always something going on. Whether it is a birthday, a casual get-together, or just time spent together, we are used to being around family often. We have four nephews and one niece, and we love being part of their lives. Most Saturday mornings you’ll find us on the sidelines of some sort of game, cheering them on.

Heidi is an only child, but her family is just as close. Her parents will be moving to the same town very soon and we are so excited to have them here. They’re so excited to become grandparents and made the decision to move near us because of our hopes to become parents soon. They are already looking forward to being involved and present.

We love the mix of both—big, busy gatherings and smaller, more intentional time together. A lot of our favorite memories are centered around family, especially when we get to travel to San Francisco Giants baseball games together.

We feel really thankful to be surrounded by people who love and support us. Having that kind of “village” matters to us, and we are excited for our child to grow up knowing they are part of a family that shows up, stays connected, and loves deeply.

If you are open to it, we would truly welcome you as part of that extended circle in whatever way feels comfortable to you.

Our Home in California

Our home is one of our favorite places to be. It is a quiet, comfortable space where we spend a lot of time together, and we have really made it our own. We live on a peaceful cul-de-sac in a neighborhood we love, with a great park just a short walk away that we’re excited to enjoy with our child. We have a big, fenced backyard with plenty of room to run around, play, and just be a kid. Inside, our home is where a lot of our everyday life happens, cooking meals together, relaxing at the end of the day, and having friends and family over. We love hosting, and our home is often filled with conversation, laughter, and people we care about. We want our home to be a place where our child feels safe, comfortable, and completely at peace.

Our Promise

We have thought a lot about what it means to become parents, and the kind of home we want to create.

Our faith will always be at the center of our lives, and we will raise your child knowing they are deeply loved, by God, by us, and by you. We want them to grow into who they were created to be, with strong values, kindness, and a sense of confidence in who they are.

We will provide a safe, steady, and supportive home where your child can learn, grow, and feel secure. There will be lots of laughter, hugs, and everyday moments that make a house feel like home. Through all of life’s ups and downs, we will be there; consistent, patient, and full of love!

We are open to staying in touch and even getting together, if that’s something you are comfortable with. More than anything, we want your child to always know their story and how loved they are by many. That matters a lot to us.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We would love the opportunity to connect with you, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784 to set up a call or video chat with us!

More About Our Family

The Area We Live In

We live near two major lakes, a beautiful river, and mountains surround us. As mentioned above, we love being outdoors, and the area we live in has endless activities for us to enjoy and share with our future child. We are within driving distance to the beach, lakes, rivers, and mountains for us to explore.

Our Dog, Paisley

We have a 5-year-old labradoodle named Paisley. We love taking her everywhere we can, on trips with us, and running with us. She is such an adventurous pup, and she loves being off leash in the woods and snow. She loves kids! Our young nephews love to chase her around and she loves playing keep away.

Importance of Education

Education is very important to us, and we have many school options in our area. Our goal is to be able to provide a private school education, especially for the early elementary years. We would love for our child to be taught biblical principles, and to make sure the families, other children, and teachers/staff all have a heart for the Lord, and similar values. We promise to make education a priority, and cultivate an environment of learning at home as well.

Family Wish List

1. We would love travel as a family to the areas of Italy where Guido's distant relatives were from. We went to Italy for our honeymoon and would love to go back someday.
2. We would love to eventually own a home with more property to be able to have more pets (especially a mini cow), a large space for gardening, and a pool.
3. We would love to do a family road trip up and down the Eastern United States to see all of the fall foliage, and all of the unique historical landmarks.
4. We would love to travel to New York City at Christmas time to see all of the decorations and hopefully snow!

In Closing

Thank you for taking the time to consider and learn about our family. We are eager to love and nurture your child, as well as teaching him/her sound, moral character rooted in God. We hope that our website helps you understand how much we would love to be parents to your child and how much we value your decision. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
