https://vimeo.com/1234217194Hello! We're Justin and Amy — partners in life, faith and business, living in a small Texas town. Together, we strive to serve God and love our neighbors.
Our days are filled with sawdust and laughter as we run our small woodworking business. Evenings often find us on long walks at the park or at home with our three beloved dogs. We dream of giggles echoing through our home — and we can't wait to build a family full of memories, muddy park adventures, and unconditional love.
About Us
From our very first date years ago, we knew we'd found something rare. We met and married within a year — when you know, you know — and we've been devoted to each other ever since. Adoption has been part of our plan from the very beginning; in fact, we discussed it on our second date. We can hardly believe the time has finally come.
Life together is full of adventure, big and small. We love camping, hiking, and anything that gets us out in nature. More frequently, you'll find us cheering on the Astros, grabbing a cone at our local ice cream shop, or battling it out over a board game.
When our baby arrives, we can't wait to share it all — first campouts under the stars, first Astros game, and first trip to the ice cream shop. We're ready for every bit of it.
About Amy
Justin says: Amy is the steady heart of our home. When she commits to something — or someone — she's all in. She's the reason our woodworking business exists at all; what started as her hobby grew until she turned a passion into something real. That's just who she is — quietly determined and dedicated to seeing things through.
She's an introvert with a wonderfully dry sense of humor — the kind that catches you off guard and leaves you laughing minutes later.
Amy's interests include:
• Woodworking and furniture making
• Spoiling our 3 dogs
• Camping, hiking, and time outdoors
• Puzzles and board games
• Reading every book at the library
She can't wait to share it all with our child — patiently teaching them to create with their hands, showing them the kind of steady, unconditional love she gives so freely, and walking alongside them as they come to know the God she loves and trusts so deeply.
About Justin
Amy says: Justin is honest to his core, endlessly trustworthy, and if he tells you he'll do something, consider it done. He has a gift for reading the room — outgoing and warm when the moment calls for it, quietly content when it doesn't. His adventurous streak means that life with Justin is never boring.
He's a self-taught software developer, and watching him master a demanding field entirely on his own drive tells you everything about him; when Justin sets his mind to something, he gets it done. He's at the top of his game professionally, but he'd rather show you the car he just fixed or the furniture project we're working on together.
Justin's interests include:
• Software development and all things tech
• Fixing and working on cars
• Woodworking alongside Amy in our shop
• Camping, hiking, and the outdoors
More than anything, Justin has always dreamed of being a dad. He can't wait to pass on what he knows — how to fix things, build things, and figure things out — and to prepare our child for the world with patience and honesty. Above all, he wants them to grow up certain of two things: that they are deeply loved, and that their dad will always be a rock they can lean on.
Our Family
Our extended family is a big part of our lives. That family includes both of our moms and our siblings, and even though we're spread out a bit, everyone is within driving distance. Distance has never slowed us down; we regularly share family vacations, travel together, and find plenty of reasons to gather in between.
When we shared our plans to adopt, our families couldn't have been more supportive — they are genuinely excited to welcome this child as one of their own. There's already a grandma on each side counting down the days!
Our family gatherings are laid-back, just the way we love them. We can't wait to build new memories with our child and the people we love most.
Our Home in East Texas
Our home is a cozy three-bedroom ranch style house in a quiet rural neighborhood. Over the years we've made it truly ours — the shelves and much of the furniture are handmade, and we built the cedar picket fence that wraps around the property. Nearly everywhere you look, there's something we crafted together. One of the bedrooms is already set aside with plans to become a nursery or a toddler room.
Outside, we have a huge backyard with plenty of room to run, play, and grow! Right next to the house sits an additional building that serves as Justin's office and a Bible study room.
Our neighborhood is peaceful and slow-paced, with a park just down the street. It's the kind of place where a kid can ride a bike, chase fireflies, and grow up with room to breathe.
And of course, our home wouldn't be complete without our four-legged residents: three spoiled dogs and one cat who tolerates them all.
Our Promise
We promise to love your child unconditionally — on their best days, their hardest days, and every day in between. We will raise them with faith, kindness, and character. Amy will be a stay-at-home mom, giving them her steady love and full attention, and we're committed to a strong education and every opportunity to chase their gifts, whatever path that turns out to be. Truthfully, we can't wait for the journey of it all — and the privilege of helping our child find their place in this world.
And we promise this to you--you will not be a stranger to your child's story. We are open to keeping you updated and connected as they grow — through pictures, letters, and contact — and we welcome the chance to meet you, if that's what your heart desires. As far as we're concerned, you're not just choosing a family for your child, you're becoming part of ours.
Above all, we promise to do the very best we can, every single day, to honor the trust you are placing in us to raise your child.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.
With love and gratitude,
Justin & Amy

More About Our Family
Why We Want To Adopt
We want to adopt because we have a deep desire to become parents and build a family rooted in God’s love. For personal reasons, we have chosen not to have biological children, and we are wholeheartedly looking forward to growing our family through adoption.
Watching our siblings and close friends raise their little ones has strengthened our desire to share that everyday life with a child—the laughter, the learning, and the quiet moments together. We want to provide a home filled with laughter, joy, and patience, where our child feels safe, cherished, and loved unconditionally.
Our hope is to teach them God’s ways through both our words and how we live, encouraging them to discover who they are as God's child.
Our Faith
We are nondenominational Christians who study both the Old and New Testaments to better understand God and His unchanging character. We look forward to reading the Bible with our child, welcoming their questions, and growing in faith together. We believe a child’s curiosity and wonder can teach us just as much as we teach them.
Jesus is the clearest expression of God’s love. His life teaches us to love, forgive, and extend grace. We want His example to shape how we care for our family, our neighbors, and our children.
Better Together
Justin brings the spontaneity, Amy brings the steady. His big ideas need her follow-through — and her plans need his spark. Together we're a perfect team.
What We Dream Of
Our dream is a little farmhouse on open land — Jersey cows to milk, goats to chase, chickens to feed, and dogs to nap with. We want a place to grow up learning, laughing, and loving every day.
In Closing
We live a simple, happy life, and we can't wait to share it with a child. You would always be special to our family, and we'd love to share pictures, updates, and future contact, if you desire. We're honored to get to know you.
Because Amy plans to quit her job, our baby will always have a parent close by with plenty of time, patience, and love. We promise your child will grow up surrounded by family, encouraged in everything they do, and raised to know just how loved they are by many.
