Hi there! We are Luke and Kalli, and we are so blessed to be on the path to adoption. We both have always felt drawn to adoption, especially Luke because he was adopted by his dad. We would love to give that gift to another child. We have been married for 8 years and our daughter, Stella, is 3 years old. She cannot wait to be a big sister! After going through years of infertility and several miscarriages, our desire to adopt has gotten even stronger. We want to grow our family in whatever way God has planned for us. We look forward to getting to know you!

Our Story

We met in middle school and continued going to school together until we graduated. Our story really begins later in life, when we reconnected through mutual friends in our early 20s. We both knew right away we wanted to get married, and two years later we tied the knot. Our faith has been something that connected us our whole relationship--we go to church together weekly, are active members in the parish, and live our faith in our daily lives. We love to travel and have been to some amazing places (Hawaii, Fiji, France, Italy, and Spain, to name a few). Traveling is something we continue to enjoy with Stella and can't wait to bring more children along with us. We also love to go on walks and bike rides, play beach volleyball, and enjoy lazy Sundays surrounded by all our family.

We have always said we'd take as many children as God would give us, and we pray He blesses us with many more. We didn't know getting pregnant would be so difficult for us, but after years of trying, 2 miscarriages, and an endometriosis surgery, we were able to welcome Stella into our family in 2022. We had hoped our troubles were behind us, but after several more years and another miscarriage, we felt like God was pulling us in the direction of adoption sooner than we had anticipated. We are excited to be on our adoption journey!

Meet Kalli

About Kalli: I am a faithful Catholic, one of six daughters, and a devoted wife and mother. I am a hairstylist by trade, and I am grateful to be able to stay at home with Stella part-time. My favorite part about my job is connecting with people and making them feel their very best. A hair appointment can brighten someone's day! I also sing at my church for mass, and lead praise and worship nights. I love spin classes at the gym and recently became a certified instructor. I look forward to a blossoming relationship between Stella and her future sibling, and sharing our love for Jesus. I can't wait for our child to feel our love and be a part of our big, lively family!

What Luke says: Kalli is my best friend, someone who can always be counted on. She has been nothing but amazing to our daughter and loves to spend as much time as possible with her. Kalli loves to spend time with her family and friends. She has a big family so gatherings can get loud, but they are always fun and spirited. She takes pride in anything and everything whether it's her work, singing for the Church, or leading a spin class, she does it all with her whole heart.

Kalli enjoys:

  • Singing
  • Swimming
  • Cycling
  • Reading
  • Taking our dog, Luna, for a walk

  • Meet Luke

About Luke: I am a born and raised Catholic. I have two younger brothers and am a faithful husband and father. I have been working in insurance since 2012 and have been with the same company that entire time. My job gives me the ability to work from pretty much anywhere in the world, but I spend most days in my home office. When I am not working, I love to stay as active as possible--I am a regular at the gym each morning, and during the warm months I try and get a round of golf in here and there, I run a slow pitch softball team, and I play on a sand volleyball team during the summer. As Stella has gotten older, she loves to accompany me to many of these events and I hope she learns to find a sport she's passionate about as well. I can't wait to welcome more children into our growing family and give them the best foundation possible to succeed in life and their passions.

What Kalli says: My husband is the most genuine, big-hearted, and generous person. He never wants anyone to feel left out, is willing to drop what he's doing if you ask for help, and he always is the life of the party! Luke is fun, playful, and truly has a passion for life. God is the center of his world, and that shines through in everything he does. He already is a wonderful husband and father, and I can't wait to see him thrive with more children.

    Luke enjoys:

  • His hobbies (golf, softball, volleyball)
  • Live sporting events
  • Bike rides and walks with the family
  • Lazy Sundays with extended family

  • Family Life

Our daughter: We are so blessed to have our Stella Marie! Stella is a smart, independent, and spirited three-year-old. We like to call her an old soul, as she'll hold a conversation with people of any age and she'll make friends with everyone she interacts with. She is bold, fearless, and spunky, and will be the best big sister. She already calls herself a big sister to our dog, Luna. Luna is an affectionate, loyal golden retriever/Labrador mix who will absolutely melt for scratches behind her ears. She is the most tolerant family dog, and is so great with Stella and any other child she comes in contact with.

Extended family: We are blessed to live only 5 minutes from both our sets of parents and most of our brothers and sisters. When they say it takes a village to raise a child, we have that covered. When help is needed to watch Stella or give us a date night, there is no shortage of ready and willing family members to help. We all have very good relationships with each other, and we regularly return the favor. Sundays are family day, and most are spent at Kalli's parents' house playing cards and board games, making food, or cheering on the Denver Broncos.

Our friends: Our friends are a major part of our life, and we get together on a regular basis. We love to host our friends at our house, and they all know how welcome they are. Most of them have kids, and they all run around and play in a safe place while the adults have conversations in the kitchen or back deck. We often take all the kids to the zoo, to playgrounds, or to some of our favorite local restaurants. We are grateful to have them as such a strong support system.

    Our Home in Colorado

We live in a quiet suburb northwest of Denver, Colorado. We have a great mix of neighbors beginning their families, established families, and couples that are grandparents. Our two-story home is in a quiet cul-de-sac conveniently located 5 minutes from a major highway. From there you can get to the airport in less than an hour, downtown Denver in less than 30 minutes, and an hour to the beginning of Colorado's world-famous ski resorts. We have 4 bedrooms, a finished basement, and a great backyard with a large play structure that Stella, our nieces, and friends' children love to spend hours playing on. We enjoy sitting by the fire on our back deck in the Spring, Summer, and Fall, and are lucky to even get a few sunny days in the Winter. The nursery is ready and waiting to welcome our next child.

Things we love about where we live:

  • Spending time in our backyard
  • Being so close to our family
  • Our church just blocks away
  • The relationships we've built with our great neighbors

  • From Our Hearts

We promise to give our all to your child. We will provide a loving, secure, encouraging life, filled with beautiful memories and experiences. We promise to provide them with a life that grants them the opportunity to chase their dreams. We will teach them to love their faith and to love Jesus. We will celebrate every moment with them, big or small. We will teach them about you and their adoption story, and how we prayed for them every day. We will share their story with you as well.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

    More About Our Family

    Fun Facts

    -We met in middle school

-Luke is from a family of all boys & Kalli has all sisters
-We love eating out for dinner
-If we could have superpowers, Kalli's would be teleportation & Luke's would be flying

    Our Catholic Faith

Our faith is the core of our relationship. We believe the closer we grow to God, the closer we grow to each other. So much of what we do is involved in the church--volunteering, small groups, Stella's school is at our church, and we are even best friends with our Pastor. Our church community has been praying for us to have a baby for so long, even people who don't know us. We have praised together, cried together, grieved together, but mainly we have hope together.

    Plans for our Children's Education

Our daughter, Stella, attends a Catholic preschool just blocks away from our home. It is a fantastic Early Learning Center that includes preschool, junior kindergarten, and kindergarten. We would love any future children to attend this school as well, and it is our strongest intention to continue their Catholic education all the way through high school. There are great options for Catholic elementary/middle schools in our surrounding neighborhoods, as well as several Catholic high schools in the area. As we have stated, our faith is so important to us and our only thought has been to cultivate those values in school as well.
