Hello from central Wisconsin, the land of cows and cheese! We are Ryan and Andi. Ryan is a Lutheran pastor, and Andi looks forward to becoming a stay-at-home mom once we adopt. Our two pups live alongside us. We have felt the call to be parents since we got married six years ago. We hope to grow our family through adoption. We want to open our hearts and home to a child. We look forward to getting to know you and learning about the life you desire for your child.
All About Us
We have known each other for 8 years and have been married for 6. We were set up by mutual friends and the rest is history. We enjoy traveling to different zoos around the country and touring the many NFL stadiums. While around home, we enjoy walking our dogs and playing board games.
We were brought to adoption because we have always desired to be parents, but have been unable to have biological children. We had two miscarriages in the past couple of years after four years of infertility treatments. Through it all, we feel led by God to pursue adoption as the way to grow our family. We look forward to becoming adoptive parents and to welcoming a child into our home and lives.
All About Andi
Ryan says: Andi is the most caring, spontaneous, and joyful person I have ever met. She definitely takes me out of my comfort zone, and that is a very good thing. If you looked up the word "extrovert" in the dictionary, Andi's picture should be next to it as a definition. Since meeting her, we have had so many fun adventures that I would never have had otherwise. She has a heart for others which is shown by the way she is always there for her friends, family, and fellow church members.
Andi currently has a couple of part-time jobs that keep her pretty busy. During the school year, she is a crossing guard for our city's school district. She works part-time at a small pet supply store just a few blocks from our home too. She also drives for a company that transports people who cannot drive themselves to medical appointments. In addition, Andi has a small business where she makes homemade crocheted items, dog bandanas and collars, and other homemade craft items. She is looking forward to being a stay-at-home mom when we become parents.
Andi's interests include:
- Animals of every kind
- Crocheting/Crafting
- Reading fantasy books
- Hot-tubbing or swimming
- Gardening, especially fruits
Andi looks forward to sharing all of her day with our child. She wants to read to them and take them on adventures to zoos and other exciting sites around Wisconsin. Andi is excited to snuggle our child, take them on walks around the neighborhood, and show them the kind of love that fills her heart.
All About Ryan
Andi says: Ryan has taught me the art of chill. He enjoys the small things in life, like reading a good book, or watching and explaining the sport of football. Ryan is a full-time pastor and is a great teacher, especially in his Bible studies. He even wrote the Sunday School program for our church, and the kids are enjoying learning! Ryan is also very patient and a great encourager. I really appreciate how he respects me, listens to my ideas, and apologizes when he makes mistakes.
Ryan's other interests include:
- History books (especially ancient Egypt)
- Burgers
- Board Games
- The Bible
- Green Bay Packers football
Ryan is looking forward to sharing first words with our child, as well as throwing a football around. Ryan is an honest, caring man and I am looking forward to seeing him parent, guide, and teach our child not just about life, but also how to be a loving person who loves God and loves others.
Our Family
We have quite an extended family that we are excited to tell you about. Both sets of our parents are within four hours of us. Some of our siblings are further away, but a couple of them live pretty close too. We keep in touch often with most members of our extended family. We also consider the members of our church to be like extended family. They have been there for us through our infertility and miscarriages, as well as in our adoption process. Everybody in our family is incredibly excited and supportive of our choice to adopt.
We have several close friends who have small children that we hope will be good friends and playmates with our future child. Our church family is incredibly excited about having a little one in our congregation. We know that our child will be very loved and supported by our community and family.
Our Home in Wisconsin
We live in a small city in central Wisconsin. We are blessed to have a 3-bedroom house in a very safe neighborhood. One of the bedrooms has already been converted into a nursery for our future little one (with a predictable forest animal theme, thanks to Andi). We love this house because of the size of the living room, where we spend a lot of time as a family. We love the size of the bedrooms and the kitchen too. We have a generous-sized front yard with several city parks nearby where we can play with our child.
Our small city has a couple of highlights--It has a small zoo that is open in the summertime. There is an interesting museum just a few blocks from our home. During the summer, there is also a summer baseball team that plays just down the road from our house. There is a farm with highland cattle, bison, and sheep close by. One of the distinctive things about our city is the number of white deer who call our city home. Our little one will have plenty of wildlife to see! There are some Christian schools in our city that we would look into enrolling our child in.
We share our home with our two dogs, Zelda and Link. Zelda loves to cuddle with her people and snuggle on laps, and Link is a goofy boy who loves to play. They both look forward to welcoming a child into their pack.
Our Promise to You
Above all, we promise to love your child in the way that Jesus first loved us, unconditionally. We promise to raise your child as a Christian and they will be very active in church. They will have plenty of friends in our community and extended family. We promise to try our very best to raise your child in a fun and exciting environment. We promise to be a safe place for your child to learn about the world, grow up, and become the person that God desires them to be. We look forward to whatever activities your child wants to participate in and supporting them in the best way we possibly can. While we will not be perfect parents, your child will always know that they are loved in our home.
We also promise to keep in contact with you, if you desire, and honor the type of relationship that you think is best for you. We promise to keep in touch with you, share updates, and enjoy occasional visits together (if that is something you want). We look forward to getting to know you. If you think that we might be a good fit for your child, please reach out to Lifetime to set up a call or video chat. We would love to meet you and get to know you.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

Our Typical Weekend
Thursday night: Our weekends begin on Thursday nights, since Ryan's day off is Friday. We stay up a little later, walk the pups around the neighborhood, and hang out with neighbors. A quiet night has us watching some show or reading until bedtime.
Friday: Friday is Ryan's day off, so we can go visit with family or friends. We might attend a farmers market in the summer, go for a walk around the neighborhood with the pups, or stay up later playing board games with friends.
Saturday: If not with family still, Saturdays are days to sleep in. Andi likes pancakes for breakfast. Then we usually do an out-of-the-house activity (either swimming, visiting a zoo, or going to a baseball game at our local team's stadium).
Sunday: Sundays begin with church. Ryan is the pastor of two churches, so he gets up early. Andi attends Bible study and the later church service. After lunch at home, we try to make Sundays pretty restful (at least for Ryan). Andi usually does some chores around the house (like gardening or small home maintenance projects). Occasionally, we'll hang out with friends or go to an event in town on Sunday nights.
Our Friends Say We Are:
-"Caring, thorough, safe" (Andrew, a pastor colleague of Ryan's)
-"Kind, compassionate, giving" (Melinda, a neighbor)
-"Kind, caring, faithful" (Lisa, Andi's college roommate)
-"Welcoming hearts, grace-filled, gentle spirits, endless love, constant encouragement" (Laura, a friend)
3 Things We Value
1. Education - Both of us have college degrees and did very well in school. We believe that education is important for children in order to do well in the world. Reading is a joy, so we look forward to reading to a child from early on.
2. Adventure - Every summer, we take a big vacation that includes zoos, NFL stadiums, and other roadside attractions across the country. Our child will get to see and experience many fun adventures alongside us.
3. Forgiveness - Neither of us are perfect, but our relationship is based on forgiveness, just as Jesus first showed to us. Our child will know the importance of God's forgiveness, as well as our forgiveness also.
In Closing
We promise to love your child, raise them in the Christian faith, and take them on many adventures. We are looking forward to seeing what passions our child has and foster those dreams. As far as future contact, our promise to you is to keep our end of the agreement we come up with, whether that be texts, emails, or occasional visits. We look forward to talking to you and learning about your hopes and dreams for your child.
