Hello! We are Scott and Wittne from Minnesota! We live a faith-filled, fun-loving, active and family-oriented life. We are honored to become first time parents through adoption. Adoption is near and dear to our hearts because we were both adopted! We were raised by loving, supportive adoptive parents who gave us a foundation for our goal as future parents. We are ready to get to know you and provide your baby with a home filled with love, support and adventure. If you are comfortable with an open adoption, we would love to honor that through letters, photos and occasional visits.

A Little Bit About Us

We met when our friend, now neighbor, introduced us at her Fourth of July party. We have a strong marriage, and it is so exciting to be on this great adventure as best friends. For us, spending time together is so important. We both work full time right now, but we are planning for Wittne to stay at home after we adopt, or the baby will go to work with her and she will reduce her hours. We like to be outside as much as possible during all the seasons and have several shared hobbies that we look forward to sharing with a child. Whether it’s hanging out with family and friends, spending time at the lake, summer camping trips, exploring hiking trails, or just a weekend at home. We love seeking out new things to do! We’re also excited to read bedtime stories, watch him/her play with their cousins, going on adventures to the aquarium, zoo, children's museum and more.

Meet My Husband, Scott

Scott is a caring, loving, hardworking, kind-hearted, and a very reliable person. He is the most supportive person I know. He always puts others first. If someone needs help, he is ready to jump right in. Scott is always working on different projects at home, inside and out. Scott values spending time with family and friends. He enjoys going on camping trips, four-wheeling adventures, fishing, working on cars, and going to car shows with his dad. I am so excited to watch Scott become a dad and experience some of his interests with our child.

Meet My Wife, Wittne

Wittne is very caring, loving, nurturing and understanding. She is a wonderful woman and wife. Wittne is a preschool teacher and has a way of making learning fun for the children. She is very hard-working, whether that's at home working on projects, helping others, or at the preschool. Wittne puts others before herself and has strong family values. She is passionate about her faith and enjoys singing in our church choir. Wittne enjoys camping, fishing, spending time on the lake kayaking and swimming, exploring trails in the woods on her four-wheeler, going on walks, planting flowers in the spring, baking and cooking. I can't wait to see her become a mom!

Our Home in Minnesota

We live in a split-level home with four bedrooms, a large family room downstairs and an open concept kitchen, living, and dining room upstairs. We recently started putting together our nursery so that we're even more ready to welcome a child. We have a great backyard for playing and a large deck with room to grill and hang out. In the summertime, we enjoy having family and friends over to play bean bag tosses and other yard games. We are close to many parks, playgrounds, splash-pads, beaches and lakes. We have so much love in our home to share and plenty of space for our growing family!

Our Family

We both grew up in Minnesota and have incredible, loving families. From celebrating holiday and birthdays to just getting together, we are always excited to see them. Scott's parents live only ten minutes from us, so we get to see them often. His brother and sister-in-law also live nearby. We enjoy spending time with our nieces and nephew too! Wittne's parents still live in the house she grew up in. She is excited to share childhood memories and to push our little one on the tire swing she played on as a kid. Her brother and sister-in-law live in northern Minnesota. We love getting to visit them to go fishing off the dock, swimming and more. Our families are all thrilled about our plans to adopt and look forward to welcoming this child into the family!

Our Promise

We promise to love your child with all our hearts, to show patience and grace, teach kindness and respect. We will encourage and support them in all aspects of their life and upbringing. We will provide them with a great education and share our faith and values. We promise to share the love we have for you and your child and the love our family already has and will continue to have for your child. We promise to talk openly about how adoption brought us all together. You will always be an important and special part of our adoption and family. We want our child to know their adoption story and to know how they became part of our life story.

If you would like, we welcome contact in the future. We would love to share pictures and updates and visits. We can’t wait to get to know you and feel overjoyed to get the opportunity to become parents through adoption. To connect with us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Love for Adoption

We were both adopted! We are so excited to have that connection with our child. Our parents were each loving and supportive examples of what we hope to be for our future child. It is hard to even express how incredibly honored we feel to have adoption as a part of our stories in this way. We have both always known we were adopted and we plan to be honest with our child about how our family was built through adoption. We want them to know their story, how we became a family, and how much you mean to us too.

Our Faith

We each have a strong faith and believe in God. We attend church almost every weekend and are very involved in different aspects of our church. Wittne is in the church choir and Scott volunteers helping with fundraisers and benefit breakfasts. We believe that God has brought us to adoption and are so excited to share our faith and church family with our little one.

Fun Fact About Our Weekends

On Saturday or Sunday mornings, depending on the weekend, we like to make breakfast together as a couple. Wittne cooks eggs with either ham, bacon or sausage and Scott gets the pancakes or waffles started (it's Wittne's job to make sure they come out golden brown and ready to eat!).

Favorite Family Traditions and Activities

-Spending lots of time together with family during the holidays
-Camping with Wittne's family each Labor Day
-Going to Wittne's brother's house up north for the Fourth of July
-Spending time with our nieces and nephew
-Taking our four-wheeler and Jeep out in the mud and on trails
-Going fishing and boating
-Snowshoeing
-Going to explore Duluth and watch the ships come into the harbor

We can’t wait to share our traditions, camping trips and so much more. Our family and friends are excited to help us welcome a new member to our family. It is very important to us that your child knows their story and the love that brought us all together. We would love to share letters, photos, and visits if you are comfortable. We are excited to learn more about you and hopefully meet you!
